Testimonials from Our Recovery Community

“After years of quiet struggle with my addiction to pornography and self-gratification (which I never wanted to acknowledge as an addiction), I was given the chance to work with Sue one-on-one for a bit, and then invited to join the men’s support group.

After struggling – and failing – for years with the addictions, and finding no end, this invitation has changed me.  The immediate bonds among those I met in the group, and the pairings for daily check-ins, have changed my struggle from a solo battle to one with a team of supporters.

The truth of my behaviors as symptoms rather than the problems themselves, an important shift of perspective, has made a huge difference in my ability to cope with events and feelings as they happen, and steer my energies in a much more positive direction!”

“What started as a desperate search for support turned into a healing journey. Week after week, I was surrounded by women who understood, listened without judgment, and pointed me back to truth. Through their encouragement and God’s grace, I began to reconnect with my faith, own my growth, and find strength I didn’t know I had. Today, I’m in a better, healthier place. I feel empowered to keep growing and becoming the woman God created me to be. If you’re looking for hope, healing, and community, I cannot recommend L.I.F.E. Recovery enough.”

“Several years ago I participated in a CIAR training event at my local church which turned into several annual events. This CIAR training provided the catalyst for starting numerous recovery groups in our community which has given freedom to scores of men trapped in sexual bondage. Sue exudes a love for God like few others I know and continues to help countless individuals Live In Freedom Everyday!”

“FMM was there when I felt like no one would understand, no one would walk alongside me. It takes a special kind of love, courage, patience and kindness and I have found it in FMM. There are days when it still isn’t easy to let someone in but there’s this place, a special kind of place where I get to share the pain, mistakes and victories. Where I am understood the best way they can and where I am encouraged to go another step. It’s a special kind of place where I realize that I am not alone. I don’t have to be alone if I don’t want to. I am forgiven much.”
